Sealing membrane and crack insulation

Method of application:
During installation, certain limitations must be observed. For example, the membrane should not be glued to certain surfaces such as OSB, particle board or hardwood. Do not use on dynamic expansion joints, structural cracks or cracks with vertical differential movement.
The membrane is compatible with a number of substrates, including concrete, cement mortar and plaster, CMU, brick, drywall, exterior adhesive plywood, cement board, ceramic tile and cement terrazzo stone. It is available in different packaging options, with an estimated coverage of 0.95 kg/m2 in two layers.
Proper storage is essential, and the shelf life of factory sealed containers is guaranteed for two years if stored above ground in a dry area. However, high humidity can reduce the shelf life of the bagged product.
The membrane after application changes its color from light sage to olive green, which facilitates inspection. It is safe to use, as it contains no solvents and is non-flammable. In addition, Hydro Ban® is equipped with Microban® antimicrobial technology, which provides protection against bacteria. The product complies with various standards and has received certifications such as EN 14891 DM OP, ANSI A118.10 and A118.12, IAPMO certification and "Extra Heavy Duty" rating according to TCNA performance levels.
The product provides several advantages, including the ability to install tiles, thin bricks and stone directly on the membrane. It is a ready-to-use, one-component liquid rubber polymer, making application easy and quick with a brush or roller. After curing, it forms a thin membrane, the thickness varies between 0.5 and 0.8 mm.
Hydro Ban® is designed to be anti-fracture, offering up to 3mm of protection against shrinkage and non-structural cracks. It does not require fabric for gaps or cracks with up to 3mm of horizontal movement. The membrane is bonded directly to metal and PVC plumbing fixtures, and it dries quickly, allowing for a flood test about two hours after the final cure.
It can be used in swimming pools, fountains, shower pans, bath surrounds, bathrooms, laundries, spas, kitchens, terraces, balconies, countertops, facades and steam rooms (with a vapor barrier).
